Daria Lupan conceives her art as an exploration of the inner world, where emotions, tensions, and personal or collective experiences are transformed into symbolic and expressive imagery. Her artistic vision does not limit itself to depicting external reality; instead, it filters that reality through her own perception, turning it into visual reflections that challenge the viewer to confront profound themes such as human fragility, dependency, violence, belonging, and the search for self. Her works stand out through the intensity of recurring symbols and a visual language that blends raw expressiveness with inner lyricism.
Her style is in constant evolution, mirroring the personal and spiritual transformations she undergoes. Oil painting becomes her ideal medium of expression, thanks to its depth and density, allowing her to convey contrasts and the full intensity of emotion. Through tense compositions and figures that are deformed or constrained, the artist evokes a sense of claustrophobia, of struggle with oneself and with the world, giving visual form to the psychological and social realities that shape us.
For Daria, painting is not a simple aesthetic exercise but an existential necessity, an integral part of daily life. She approaches it not as an escape or a pastime, but as a process of self-knowledge and confrontation—an act of authenticity through which she expresses herself fully. Her art is not driven by market demands, but by the desire to preserve absolute sincerity, while inviting the viewer to reflect on their own experiences and conflicts. In this way, her artistic vision takes shape as introspective, intense, and uncompromising, with each work becoming a visual testament to her ongoing inner evolution.
