How Are the Artworks Selected for Sale?
We carefully select the artists, and they in turn choose which artworks they wish to offer for sale. However, we reserve the right to moderate and remove any listed work if its authenticity, quality, or content raises concerns.
Who Can Sell on ARTERA?
All of our artists are originally from Moldova. We identify and invite them to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection for our collectors.
Are you an artist? We encourage you to apply through the dedicated submission page.
Are the Artworks Available as Prints?
Yes, some of the artworks are also available as prints. However, the majority are sold as limited editions.
What Is an Edition?
An edition refers to a limited number of copies of a specific artwork, commonly used in photography. The edition size is determined by the artist prior to the first sale and cannot be changed later.
Established photographers typically offer editions of around 10 copies, while emerging artists may choose larger edition sizes. As a rule, the smaller the edition, the higher the market value.
Is a Certificate of Authenticity Provided?
All artworks sold through ARTERA include a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. Additionally, all editions (photographs, prints, etc.) are hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
Can I Commission a Custom Artwork?
Yes, some of our artists accept custom commissions. If a piece you are interested in is no longer available, don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you have a concept or idea, feel free to reach out — we’ll be happy to connect you with a suitable artist to create a one-of-a-kind artwork tailored to your vision.
Are All Artworks on ARTERA Available for Purchase?
Not always. Some artworks may already have been sold. This will be clearly marked on the artwork’s page.
If you cannot find something you like, feel free to contact us — we can suggest additional works by artists not yet featured online. Some artists also accept custom orders!
Is framing available for the artworks?
We do not offer framing services. Occasionally, an artwork may already be framed. For buyers located in Chișinău, we can recommend third-party framing providers.
Do you offer recommendations or consultations?
Our goal is to assist art lovers, collectors, and interior designers in discovering the right artworks. We understand that choosing the right piece often requires viewing many options — and we can save you time!

Do I have to pay for the art advisory service?
Not at all — this is an essential part of our mission to help users discover new art.
I want to give an artwork as a gift, but I’m unsure what to choose. What can I do?
Gifting an artwork is a wonderful idea! However, choosing the right piece for someone else can be a challenge.
You have two options:
We can talk about the person you wish to surprise and their preferences, then recommend a curated selection based on your budget.
Alternatively, you can opt for a Gift Card in the amount of your choice. Each gift card includes personalized consultation to help the recipient find a piece they will truly love.
How can I check if you have artworks by a specific artist?
If you have a particular artist in mind, you can search for them on our dedicated Artists page.
If no results appear, feel free to leave us your contact details. We monitor all searches on the site and reach out to artists whose works are of interest to our users. If the artist joins ARTERA, we’ll notify you immediately.
What does the heart icon next to artworks mean?
This icon allows you to save your favorite artworks in one place. To view your saved list, click on the heart icon in the main menu.
To ensure your preferences are saved and accessible across devices, we recommend creating an account.
How can I check the dimensions of an artwork?
The dimensions are listed on each artwork’s page.
If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us — we can provide additional images to help you better understand the artwork’s proportions.
Is the image on the site an accurate representation of the artwork?
The image is a faithful visual representation of the artwork, but it is not contractually binding.
Upon request, we can send you more detailed images.
If the artwork you receive does not meet your expectations, we’re truly sorry. You have 14 days from delivery to return the artwork.
How can I purchase an artwork on ARTERA?
To buy a piece, click the “Add to Cart” button on the artwork’s page. You’ll be redirected to your shopping cart.
After clicking “Continue”, you’ll be asked to provide your delivery details and select a payment method (card, PayPal, or bank transfer).
Once your payment is processed, you’ll receive confirmation from our payment provider. We will contact you immediately to confirm receipt of your payment.

Can I pay in installments?
Yes, through the IuteCredit service, you can pay in 4 interest-free installments.
For installment plans longer than 4 months, a service fee will apply.
Note: This service is available only for resident of the Republic of Moldova.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide.
What is the cost of shipping?
Shipping costs are calculated and added to the final price at checkout.
The cost varies depending on the destination, shipping country, and the size and weight of the artwork.
The buyer is responsible for any customs duties and import VAT. Please check your local regulations regarding the import of artwork.
Where are the artworks shipped from?
Most artworks are shipped from the Republic of Moldova. However, some artists reside in other countries and ship their works directly from their location.
The country of origin is indicated on the product page.
How long does delivery take?
For national deliveries: between 3 and 7 business days.
For international deliveries: between 10 and 14 business days, depending on the origin and destination of the artwork, and customs clearance time.
In some countries, customs clearance can take up to 30 days. Please check your local import regulations for more details.
Artworks must be declared properly to avoid delays.
Which delivery services does ARTERA use?
For shipments from Moldova, we use Poșta Moldovei.
For shipments from other countries, we use DHL.
What happens after I complete the payment?
After completing your purchase on ARTERA, you will receive a confirmation email, and our team will contact you to confirm and clarify the delivery details.
For national deliveries: once the artwork is handed over to the courier service, the courier will contact you to agree on the exact delivery time at your specified address.
For international deliveries: once the artwork is shipped, you will receive a notification in your user account and by email with a tracking link, including the courier and tracking number. You can enter this tracking number on the courier’s website for real-time updates.
All deliveries are handled via a Door-to-Door service.
What is the Door-to-Door service?
Pickup from the artist’s studio or origin location
Transport to the delivery address
Delivery directly to your door or the main entrance of the building
Note: This service does not include unpacking, removal of packaging materials, or installation of the artwork.
How will the artwork be packaged?
Each piece is shipped individually, directly from the artist. Packaging details are provided on the product page and may vary as follows:
What if the artwork arrives damaged?
If your artwork arrives damaged, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery, providing details and photos of both the damaged piece and the shipping box.
The courier will arrange pickup for return.
The artwork must be returned in its original packaging, properly sealed to avoid further damage. Please include all original documents, as well as any additional paperwork required for international return (we will inform you in advance).
If the artwork is damaged, you have two options:
You may select another artwork of the same value from ARTERA.
You may request a full refund. All international shipments are insured. We will refund the total amount paid, including shipping and customs fees (provided you submit the official customs documents you received).
What is the return policy?
You may return an artwork within 14 days from the date of delivery to the address provided by you.
Within this timeframe, you must contact us, and we will arrange pickup via our courier service.
What are the return costs?
For national returns: return shipping costs will be covered by the buyer, unless the buyer opts to exchange the piece for another artwork of equal value.
For international returns: return shipping and insurance costs will be covered by the buyer.
How should the artwork be returned?
To be eligible for return, the artwork must be packaged in the same box it was delivered in and securely protected.
Any artwork that has been damaged by the buyer cannot be returned.
When unpacking, we recommend opening the box carefully and keeping it for 14 days.
All original documentation must be included inside the package when returning the item. For international returns, additional paperwork may be required — we will inform you in advance.
Once we receive your return request, a courier will contact you to arrange the pickup date and time.
Before returning the artwork, please take several photos of it. These images help us verify the condition in which the artwork was shipped, in case it arrives back damaged.
When will I receive a refund for a returned artwork?
The purchase amount will be refunded within 7 days of the artwork being received by ARTERA or the artist.
Shipping, return, and insurance costs will be deducted from the refund.
How can I avoid having to return a purchase?
To avoid such situations, we recommend the following:
Carefully choose the artwork that best suits your needs.
View the artwork on multiple devices to better assess its colors.
Request additional information and images from us.
We can also create a personalized mockup to help you visualize how a painting or sculpture would look in the space you wish to decorate.

What are the steps to purchase a Gift Card?
Create an account on the Artera platform.
Choose the desired amount for the Gift Card.
Complete the purchase.
An electronic certificate with a unique code will be sent to the buyer’s email address.
How do I use a Gift Card?
Create an account on the Artera platform.
Add your chosen artwork to the shopping cart.
Enter the unique code at checkout to deduct the amount from the final price.
If the Gift Card amount does not cover the full cost of the product, the remaining balance must be paid via bank card or PayPal.
How are unused funds managed?
Any remaining unused balance is stored in your personal account and can be used for future purchases.
What is the validity period of a Gift Card?
The certificate and any remaining balance are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Can unused funds be refunded?
Once purchased, the value of the Gift Card and any unused balance cannot be refunded to the buyer or recipient.
In which currency can I use the Gift Card?
At checkout, when entering the unique code, the user must select the same currency in which the card was originally purchased.
What happens if I want to return a product?
If the Gift Card holder returns a product within the 14-day return period, the amount used will be credited back to their account and can be applied to a new purchase.
Only the additionally paid amount will be refunded to the original payment method, minus return shipping costs.
Why is my Gift Card not working?
Artera reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or hold for review any gift cards or orders in cases of suspected fraud, illegal activity, or other violations stated in our Terms and Conditions.
We also reserve the right to correct a gift card balance in the event of clerical, billing, or accounting errors.
What if I lose my Gift Card code?
Risk of loss and title for gift cards passes to the buyer upon electronic delivery to the email address provided during purchase.
Artera is not responsible for lost electronic gift cards.
However, the unique code remains stored in the user’s personal account.
Are transactions on ARTERA secure?
Protecting our community of collectors and artists is a top priority. That’s why we have implemented security measures to ensure a safe experience that complies with the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
To prevent fraudulent or non-compliant orders, we use an automated system that reviews every order placed on the platform. This system analyzes various customer and order-related details to help us identify transactions that may require additional attention. For high-value orders, we may also request additional information.
What happens if my order is under review?
In certain cases, orders may be flagged for manual verification by our finance team. If this occurs, we may contact you to request additional information or to verify your identity before processing the order.
Once the details are confirmed, the order will be approved, and you will receive a confirmation email.
Manual reviews are typically completed within 1–2 business days from the time the order is placed.
Most reviewed orders are approved within 24 hours.
Once approved, the artist will receive an immediate confirmation email and can begin preparing the shipment.
If further clarification is needed, our team will contact you by email. After confirmation, the order will be approved and you will receive an official confirmation message.
Important: We will never ask you for sensitive information such as passwords, bank account details, or full credit card numbers.
Our finance team reserves the right to cancel any order at its sole discretion, deny access to the website, or close user accounts.
If an order is cancelled, the full amount paid will be refunded to the client at no additional cost.
Did I acquire the copyright along with the artwork?
No, purchasing an artwork does not include the transfer of copyright. All intellectual property rights remain exclusively with the artist, in accordance with the copyright legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
As such, you do not have the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially use the image of the artwork, including in derivative products, prints, or promotional materials, without the explicit permission of the artist.
If you wish to obtain usage rights for commercial purposes, we encourage you to contact us to discuss potential licensing arrangements.
